Our prices are based on the current gold rate, meaning that you always pay the fairest price. The prices in the configurator change automatically and we adjust our other collections so that they are always in line with the current gold rate.
The gold price can change daily. Gold is a commodity and like oil, is continuously traded worldwide and is therefore constantly fluctuating.
Supply and demand is the most determining factor in determining the price of gold, but other factors such as the demand in the jewelry industry also influence the price.
The gold price is always expressed in fine gold, meaning gold that is almost pure. The gold used to make jewelry is alloyed. Most gold jewelry in the Netherlands is made of 14 or 18 carat gold. A 14 carat gold piece of jewelry consists of 58.5% pure gold and 18 carat gold consists of 75% pure gold. Because of these percentages, 14 carat gold is also referred to as 585 gold and 18 carat as 750 gold as can be seen in the hallmarks in all of our jewelry collections.
